Their voices can be heard in the early mornings on the coast of Lake Kivu. The Singing Fishermen of the Congo go out in the evenings and spend their nights on the lake casting their nets. This is a very strenuous job however it often earns more than any other work in the region, so the fishing industry is an enticing opportunity for younger men hoping to provide for themselves and their family.
